Real Body Skill:
Tsuyukusa is a tree ayakashi. As such, his real body is literally a tree. This skill has enabled his real body to be placed in Aather.
So here's the basic info:
Location: His tree is placed behind Turquoise, where a back yard would be if there, you know, was one.
Health: He is somehow able to subsist from the shitty soil, be it because the area around his roots has been given actual nourishing soil or because Aather has shifted his makeup. Idk.
Appearance: He's young, and his tree is also very visibly young. It looks a good deal sturdier than it appears in the above picture, and is easily climbable. I would have used another image, except those that demonstrate its sturdiness also show it... well, spoilers.
Species: I headcanon that Tsuyu is a camphor tree. This means that in the spring he will flower, and when those flowers are fertilized/wither, he will bear fruit. Fun times/hilarity/etc.
ON DAMAGING HIM: Tsuyukusa can feel everything that happens to his tree. Vividly. Snap a branch off and it will feel like losing an arm, and will continue to hurt until it heals, which is a fucking slow process for trees. Because of this, Turquoise is currently questing for a way to keep him from being hurt, but until then he's pretty vulnerable.
If anyone wants to touch/hurt/climb his true body without IC permission now would be the time, before it's rendered un-damageable by team-dere/Personae. Alternatively, at a later date, one could contact me and possibly find a way to work around whatever is put up for tree!defense. So. First off. Tempest? Hates Tsuyukusa. He doesn't like who he sees in his memories, thinks Tsuyukusa is an asshole and a lot of other unpleasant things. He's been trying to separate his concept of self from his concept of Tsuyukusa, and it's... semi-working, but in doing so he's really just becoming more like Tsuyukusa...
And that really started with his regaining the memory of Kuchiha attacking him and how he just beat her both physically and emotionally.
And then it was multiplied times a million when he went into Elliot's heart and came across a mirror that made all of his flaws very evident. So. He saw all those in himself and hasn't been able to shake them off since. He sees them in both Tsuyukusa and Tempest, if you will.
He's trying to be less of a dick than Tsuyu but he's getting super stressed out by his memories and hates taking them and is getting pretty apathetic about everything in them but hating himself...
So basically Tempest is more... conscious of his issues and the feelings of others than Tsuyu, because they're always being shoved in his face. He's a lot more pacifistic. Tsuyu in canon had some experience with self-hatred but mostly in relation to Byakuroku Dying For Him and just enough that he prioritizes others over himself enough that he is ready and willing to throw his life away for them...
Tempest is more likely to break a promise than Tsuyu, because he doesn't remember his whole Ayakashi Have Integrity thing. But at the same time it still isn't very likely, because he doesn't like to hurt people and because Yayoi has threatened to go get Acedia to hurt her if he breaks certain promises...
Tempest is a lot more dere and open with his feelings than Tsuyu! This is probably a pretty obvious one. Buuuut he's drawing more into his shell now that he got back his TOKI YOU AREN'T MY REAL FRIEND memory back, and will be a lot more suspicious of the motives behind relationships, and a lot less likely to touch people or allow them to touch him.

HOW DIFFERENT IS NATSUMOE FROM HIS CANON SELF?

However, the big diff is that he started off as a curious person! He wanted to learn more, gain answers, learn about feelings, etc. He doesn't naturally have this sort of thing because he only began to learn social skills reaaaally late (14-15 years of age) and is still learning. However, early Winter was pretty much okay with asking people about feelings and such!
HE ACTUALLY STARTED OFF KIND OF STRONG.
And then a series of bad things and bad memories began to reverse time for him. :D;; A lot of his early memories began with everything being terrifying! He was kidnapped! His blood was suppose to be given up! Oh, loneliness sucks! Oh, childhood! As you can see, this began him going into a shell that he didn't have at the start. The confidence that his team gave him earlier started to go backwards as he remembered a lot of his sig. negs.
He started noticing it however so he's trying to use that beginning courage and curiosity to keep that from changing, but uh...that is kind of hard.
So then the thing with Watanuki happened and the bad choice in Beauty's game and the ultimate fear that his team would hate him for his bad choices and ... yes, it was just overall bad for himself. :'D HIS TEAM MANAGED TO DERE AT HIM THOUGH AND WATANUKI WAS SAFE IN THE END, but it was still something that helped to pull him back to pre-nyanko-sensei Natsume.
However! He is stuck on a very strong team that won't allow him to fall back too far, and he knows a lot of people that won't let him either.
So things that I think are different is that a lot of the growth Natsume has, Winter is currently lacking. Winter also started off as being a lot less reckless and was afraid to do anything for a while, but he's...getting back more memories so that's being fixed pretty quick. :B HE IS A LOT MORE OPEN WITH HIS FRIENDSHIPS. That's a big thing. I think it has to do with people like Lloyd and Drift who are sorta kinda pushy/open etc. so it just helps Natsume to open up to his friends more. Also the ideas of romance are a thing thanks to a certain someone (and also mage) '-'
