Real Body Skill:
Tsuyukusa is a tree ayakashi. As such, his real body is literally a tree. This skill has enabled his real body to be placed in Aather.

So here's the basic info:
Location: His tree is placed behind Turquoise, where a back yard would be if there, you know, was one.
Health: He is somehow able to subsist from the shitty soil, be it because the area around his roots has been given actual nourishing soil or because Aather has shifted his makeup. Idk.
Appearance: He's young, and his tree is also very visibly young. It looks a good deal sturdier than it appears in the above picture, and is easily climbable. I would have used another image, except those that demonstrate its sturdiness also show it... well, spoilers.
Species: I headcanon that Tsuyu is a camphor tree. This means that in the spring he will flower, and when those flowers are fertilized/wither, he will bear fruit. Fun times/hilarity/etc.

ON DAMAGING HIM: Tsuyukusa can feel everything that happens to his tree. Vividly. Snap a branch off and it will feel like losing an arm, and will continue to hurt until it heals, which is a fucking slow process for trees. Because of this, Turquoise is currently questing for a way to keep him from being hurt, but until then he's pretty vulnerable.

If anyone wants to touch/hurt/climb his true body without IC permission now would be the time, before it's rendered un-damageable by team-dere/Personae. Alternatively, at a later date, one could contact me and possibly find a way to work around whatever is put up for tree!defense. IIIIIIII honestly don't know. I mean there's a CHANCE, but any touching he would eventually permit would never be met with the comfort levels he had previously. For instance he'd be too preoccupied with Not Flipping Out to, say, tsun at Katou.

How would Katou react if Tree were perma-killed?

Kurai from Angel Sanctuary! I'm not sure I have a lock on what "your type" is so far, but she seems like a character you'd enjoy. She's got a lot of layers and emotional depth, and room for plenty of growth. Also, I think you'd have fun with her connection with dragons. Because who wouldn't have fun with dragons?

Kon or Kurotobi from Amatsuki. I can't decide which.

Kon has the sort of bad-boy IDoWhatIWant thing going, but is incredibly intelligent and has a nice sense of humor. Also his right arm doesn't work.

Kurotobi initially seems almost Affably Evil, but as the Onmyou Bureau in general becomes more and more of a presence he becomes more sympathetic. Everything he did he did for his little sister, who is about twenty times more badass than him.

Also neither of them get along with Tsuyu. At all.

I'm going to assume you mean the memory from the thread in your recent memory post and NOT the hilarious time where she chased Katou after he ran away without an explanation and caught him jerking off. (Which is why you shouldn't chase Katou when he says "brb" while making faces like this.)

…Okay, so there IS a connection to Lucifer in that memory. Which was that he sliced into Katou's shoulder SO BAD that he couldn't repair the damage, and his arm was basically rotting off. So he'd gotten it replaced with this arm. He doesn't have the memory of getting the replacement yet, but he does actually remember getting his shoulder sliced. ANYHOW, that's just background information for this memory.

You see, the important thing about Katou's shape-shifting is that it takes concentration. He looks like himself because he IMAGINES looking like himself, which is why he still has things like his tattoo, track marks, etc. Because those are so much a part of how he pictures himself, that it would take MORE effort to not have them. In canon— and this is another memory that he has, but hasn't spoken about— he gets amnesia at one point, and it's stressed that before he finds a form to hold onto, HE HAD NO FACE. Nothing. He was just... basically, physically speaking, a moving doll with a spirit inside.

This wound that he has is so bad that between the pain of it and the imperfect arm graft, he's having to concentrate harder on who he is to maintain his form. THE PAIN IS SO BAD, he's starting to lose his memories, piece by piece, and it's slowly "killing" him— a death of the soul, so to speak. He'd taken to cutting at himself, to distract from THAT pain and remind himself of what's important to him, that he needs to hold on, THAT HE NEEDS TO REMEMBER. He promised Setsuna, he promised Kira. Because he hates the person he was, wants to be worth more. He wants to keep going until the very end, he wants to be MORE than just a delinquent that nobody cared about. Possibly, Uriel could've fixed him, could've helped him recover, but that would've taken him out of the fight, and that was completely unacceptable to him. He had to keep going… for his own sake, as much as anyone else's. Even if it was killing him. '-'

Where did Tsuyu's touch issues come from?

OKAY SO THIS IS. AT LEAST PARTIALLY HEADCANON because as a child we see him being picked up by Byakuroku and sitting in his lap and getting hairruffled and so on. There is rarely a time they're on the same page without touching somehow. Tree was used to that! He made a little human friend and let her braid his hair and shit with no problem, he was totally accustomed to touch.

Then, after Amatsuki's (lovingly unspecific and uncalculable) timeskip, we see Tsuyukusa being put into positions where people are touching him and being VASTLY uncomfortable. When he first met Heihachi he literally yelled "DON'T TOUCH ME" when Heihachi was checking if Tsuyu was alright (because tsuyu fell on him. Out of a tree.) Not only around Heihachi, but Toki as well. Toki is a very touchy-feely, physically affectionate person, and he considers Tsuyu a friend. This, of course, triggers a lot of tsun, but he gets legitimately ANGRY when Toki won't quit holding his hand.

At the same time he's completely willing to fly with Toki wrapped around him like a goddamned monkey, content to physically pick up Heihachi by the collar and drag him or Toki out of the way of danger. He doesn't seem to mind touch he initiates, or touch without any intent behind it.

So all of the above was canon. Now for headcanon. TSUYU IS TOUCH-STARVED. When Byakuroku died and his childhood friend couldn't leave the shrine anymore, he lost everyone who would show physical affection. Sure, he had Bonten, but not only was Bonten not exactly prone to cuddling, he had just gained a fuckton of power and responsibility and had doomed his Ginshufriend to an undying/eternally dying body AND was grieving for Byakuroku. No cuddles to be found there.

At some point after that, Tsuyu involved himself more fully with Heaven's Seat and the protection of other ayakashi. After that, pretty much the only physical contact he experienced was fighting, and initially he was TERRIBLE at it. Tree spirits are strong, but pacifists, and he'd had no reason to fight before Byakuroku died because Byakuroku protected him and was the strongest goddamned spirit around. But I'm pretty sure Tsuyu got himself nearly-killed many a time, and the times he won would lead him to associate physical contact with the deaths he had caused.

And then the only people in canon who touch him are humans, like the people he killed. Y E P.

Anyway, all Tempest knows right now is that people touching him with any sort of intent makes him want to scream, so.... avoiding that, yes.

Tree just tore some dawn monster's throat out with his teeth. What do.

That one was a headcanon memory that Aviy and I had agreed on a while ago. OKAY, LET'S GO.

Once upon a time, Katou and Kira are hanging out at Kira's place. Now, on Kira's side of things, Nanatsusaya/Kira has this thing where he's trying to make his dad hate him as a part of his deal to use human!Kira's body to chase after Alexiel's reincarnation in this life (Setsuna). So he decides to make out with/molest/have sex with Katou strategically, so that his dad can walk in and catch them! AND THEN THERE WOULD BE REJECTION. Except that no, Kira's dad took it and accepted it. Because Kira's dad loev Kira no matter what. So Kira got disgusted and annoyed that it didn't work, and stopped things.

ON KATOU'S SIDE OF THINGS, he is hanging out with Kira and then there is making out?! And it feels pretty goddamned awesome, because not only is it enjoyable on a physical level, but it's Kira and Kira is/was THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON to him. And in the time of this memory, there's a lot less complication with those feelings, because he doesn't know about any of the heaven/hell, Nanatsusaya/Lucifer stuff. It's just "HE'S KIRA AND HE NOTICES ME AND WE'RE TOUCHING and this is fucking awesome".

And then it stopped. Which, when I mentioned that when babbling to my guy friends, THERE WAS A COLLECTIVE WINCE. There are few things, they reassured me, more painful then a denied erection for a typical guy. So we leave this memory WITH ALL THE SEXUAL FRUSTRATION. And unlike Tree, Katou isn't the type to just sit there and take it. And like hell was he going to explain all this to Yayoi and continue to be frustrated in the meantime. So, "LOL BRB" and then she followed him because... because WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE TEAMMATE RAN AWAY OH NO?

Katou's thoughts on Tsunami/Tempest: And yes, Tsunami tops. Basically, he's pretty cool with this? He doesn't have any deep thoughts on the matter. Just the general idea that they seem pretty well-matched for each other, and if it makes them happy, they should go for it. He's not so sure how that it'll work out in the long run because they seem to have very different ideas on how relationships are supposed to work, but it's not like he views himself as any expert on relationships. So who knows? He has no plans to interfere with their dynamic because he's pretty sure Tsunami would deck him if he tried, and while he's okay fighting her as training, heeee doesn't want to get into a serious fight with her.

My question: I meant more as a general thing! But uh, if I have to be specific… current status update on how things are going with them?
